Volunteers in white dhotis and white shirts stand behind a long steel serving counter, ladling curry from large steel vessels into bowls and placing flatbreads on plates. A woman in a yellow-orange saree and bangles holds a plate and receives food, while a man in a khaki shirt in the foreground reaches for a plate. Large aluminium cooking pots and gas cylinders sit on the left. Several other people in white stand and wait in line. The scene depicts annadan, a food distribution, rather than a ritual.2010-02-18May 17 20112011-05-17Photo 99166832010-01-01 +2 copiesMarch 19 20112011-03-19
