Outdoor photo at an ashram-style compound with a bare dirt ground and low red-brick buildings behind a wall. A white metal weight-lifting frame stands centre-frame, and a woman in a teal patterned kurta and red trousers with a pink-and-red shawl over her head grips a barbell bar at chest height while standing on a black mat with plates stacked nearby. Around her a large crowd of about thirty people watches: men and boys in white shirts and mundus, young men in white kurtas and yellow scarves, and a small boy in a red hooded top. Several onlookers hold orange-saffron flags on poles, and an orange-and-yellow decorative pennant hangs from a pole at upper right. A shaved-headed man in white stands near the frame, and a figure in white with a yellow scarf stands to the right beside the lifter.
