Elevated street view of a busy Indian town junction with a roundabout. Motorcycles, bicycles, cars, a KRLS branded white delivery truck and a green city bus move through the intersection under a clear sky with palm trees behind. On the central island, a decorated ratha-style float or cart with a crowd of people in white clothes gathers near the trucks. A pedestrian in a checked lungi walks across the road in the foreground, and a shaded tent stands at the lower left. Peeling walls on the right display painted advertisements and posters.

Several motorcycles and a dark hatchback car travel along the road, and a yellow auto-rickshaw is visible in the middle distance. A man in a white shirt rides a dark motorcycle in the foreground, and small figures walk along the far pavement. A leafy green tree stands beside a raised concrete traffic island, and a row of white-painted kerb stones lines the road edge. Shopfronts, signboards and utility poles fill the background under a pale sky. No ritual, deity or a person appearance is visible.2006-10-23September 23 20062006-09-23January 12 20072007-01-12A busy street in a South Indian town with a wide paved road running through the centre. Pedestrians walk across the road, including a man in a white dhoti and a woman in a green sari. Several black motorcycles are parked on the right beside a row of shops, and yellow auto-rickshaws sit on the left. A white minibus stands in the middle distance. Tall trees line the left side, and utility poles with overhead wires run along the road. A large billboard on the right shows portraits of men, though the figures are too small to judge clearly. Power lines and a low hill appear in the distance under an overcast sky.2012-05-09 +1 copiesJanuary 12 20072007-01-12Elevated view of a busy town street where a group of men in white dhotis and orange shawls walk in a loose line across the road, a procession-like walk among traffic. Around them are auto-rickshaws, motorcycles, a silver sedan, a white minibus, bicycles and a few pedestrians on the pavement. Shopfronts behind carry Tamil signage, including a sign reading 'Super Vaazhga' and a 'Mohanjiar'-style shop board, with a flower seller in the lower left corner holding a basket of white and orange blooms. Men march in front of a yellow-gold building and the scene reads as an outdoor walk or procession through the street.2008-08-02A wide roadside photograph of a procession walking along the side of a multi-lane road in daylight. Many people in white clothes walk in a long line on the pavement, several carrying orange and saffron flags, with a red banner visible near the middle. Vehicles travel on the road: motorcycles, a yellow-bodied van, white trucks and a red-and-white lorry. Beside the road stand a pink multi-storey building with shuttered shops, roadside stalls and palm trees. Individual figures are too small and distant to identify, and no candidate is distinguishable, so a person's presence is uncertain.2009-02-05July 29 20082008-07-29 +1 copiesA photograph of a busy street junction in a South Indian town on a clear day. A red-roofed kiosk with signboards reading VP Hospital stands at the centre of the intersection, with a large roadside billboard to its right showing a portrait of a white-bearded figure in a white cap and a Tamil caption. Two motorcycle riders are in the middle of the road, another rider approaches on the right, and a pedestrian in a light shirt crosses on the left. Tall trees, a multi-storey white building and palm trees line the street, and colourful shop hoardings appear at the right edge. No ceremony or darshan is visible in the scene.2005-11-19February 05 20092009-02-05
