Four men in white kurta-style clothing with yellow shawls sit on mats; one seated in the centre has a yellow shawl and rudraksha mala and performs the ritual. A large framed portrait of a figure in orange robes, wearing a garland of red and yellow flowers and a beaded necklace, sits on a red armchair beside a brass oil lamp and kalasha, with plates of fruit and flowers in front. Small brass oil lamps are arranged on the floor at left, and red curtains and a red-and-white painted wall frame the scene.2010-06-06October 25 20062006-10-25April 10 20162016-04-10A photograph of a homa fire ritual at night in an ashram setting. A central square fire pit lined with brick holds a small flame, with brass bowls of ghee or oil, flowers and offerings around it. A priest in white dhoti and shawl with red border sits at the left, holding a long ladle-like stick toward the pit. Several young shaved-headed priests in white dhotis and gold necklaces sit around the pit. Behind them a portrait in a gold frame shows a saffron-robed figure with long hair and a gold necklace seated on a red throne, and a garland of red and white flowers hangs nearby. Brass lamps and a kalasha are visible at the left.2010-10-16 +1 copiesDecember 23 20102010-12-23January 30 20162016-01-30September 14 20152015-09-14
