On the right, a large painted effigy figure with red and orange body, white and gold ornaments and a raised arm sits on a purple-draped platform mounted on a wooden cart with spoked wheels. Ahead, several people in white dhotis and shirts stand and move near the cart, while a crowd in white, cream and brightly coloured saris and shirts stands in a line on the left under dark trees, some holding a ceremonial umbrella and a small decorated palanquin. Dark sky and dim buildings in the background.
