Nighttime street scene in Tamil Nadu with a crowd gathered beside a dark SUV bearing red lettering partly reading "...NITHYANANDAM". In the foreground a long-haired man in orange-saffron robes and rudraksha beads bends forward while a large pink flower garland is lifted over his head by an onlooker in white. A woman in a white sari with a red-bordered cloth and a small tray of offerings stands beside him. Behind them, men in white shirts, orange shawls and garlands watch, and a shaven-headed man in saffron cloth stands near the car. String lights glow in the background.

Several men in saffron and maroon robes with bare upper bodies and white tilak markings walk closely together. A central figure in a maroon-and-gold cloth with a rudraksha mala and white forehead marks reaches toward the car door, while a bald man in orange with spectacles holds a brass tray with white flowers and a garland. Men in white dhotis and a man in red shirt stand among the crowd, many with hands raised in greeting.2014-07-03Night-time photo of a street crowd where an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti drapes a large garland of red and white flowers with green leaves over the shoulders of a dark-haired man in a saffron-orange garment with a rudraksha mala. Beside him, a shaved-headed man in orange robes with a white tilak on his forehead and a mala around his neck looks on. Bystanders in white and orange crowd close, and a red-painted building with a barred window and a string of lights stand behind. Garlanding is an honour gesture in a procession-style welcome. The garlanded man is a candidate for a person by appearance, with saffron clothing and a mala, but the face and shoulders are partly hidden by the garland and crowd, so identity is uncertain.2014-07-04June 22 20142014-06-22 +1 copiesJune 24 20142014-06-24 +1 copiesNight photograph of a crowd gathered outdoors under trees near a vehicle with partial lettering reading "YANANDAM" and white flower garlands.
