Centre, a man with long swept-back hair, a red forehead mark, an orange garment and a white flower garland with a rudraksha mala sits behind a microphone stand, gesturing with one hand over a low white brick altar strewn with yellow marigold petals. Around him, young men in white dhotis and orange shawls sit on the floor; one at left wears a rudraksha mala and another has a white forehead marking. At right, a bespectacled man in an orange shawl and white clothes sits beside a golden ceremonial staff and silver trident. In the background, a woman in white and orange draws back an orange curtain, and a large orange cloth hangs from the window. Incense sticks stand in a metal holder at left. Appearance-based candidate: Swamiji (probable), seated centre with long hair, orange garb, garland and rudraksha mala, presiding over the ritual.2007-12-25A photograph of a homa fire ritual in progress. A central figure with long dark hair, wearing an orange shawl over a white garment and a white-and-green garland, holds up a wand and speaks into a handheld microphone while standing over a square fire pit built of white bricks and strewn with yellow marigold petals. Around him, several men in white kurtas with orange shawls sit and assist, one holding a brass vessel and another a bundle of leaves. A standing figure in white with a red garland appears in the background before a bright orange drape, and a second seated man in orange holds a large peacock-feather fan beside a metal stand with a red ceremonial emblem. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), seated at the fire pit and holding the wand and microphone, with long hair, orange shawl and rudraksha mala.2007-12-25A photo of a ritual at an outdoor-style sanctum with white walls and orange curtains. A central figure with long dark hair, a red tilak on the forehead, wears an orange wrap and a long white garland with orange and green bands, a rudraksha mala at the chest, and performs hand gestures over a platform of white stone blocks decorated with yellow marigold petals. Incense sticks stand in a metal bowl, and a microphone on a stand is nearby. Around him sit devotees in white and orange clothing, some with white forehead markings, and a person in white holds a long metal rod. The scene is a sacred ceremony.2007-12-24A photograph of a seated speaker in orange clothing addressing a gathering at a microphone. The central figure wears an orange garment over bare shoulders, a large white flower garland with green and blue ribbon accents, and rudraksha beads, with long dark hair swept back. Beside him, a young man in white with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala sits with a white forehead mark, and to the left another seated man in white and orange looks down. Behind them, rows of people in white and orange sit before orange drapes, with a tall gold pole and a silver ceremonial staff with a trident-like finial at right. Because the page notes Swamiji at this event, the central figure has distinctive visible cues: long swept-back hair, a flower garland and rudraksha beads, and orange clothing, so he is a probable Swamiji candidate physically present.2007-12-25December 24 20072007-12-24December 25 20072007-12-25December 25 20072007-12-25A photograph of a long-haired man in an orange saffron robe with a white and orange-green tricolour garland and a dark rudraksha mala speaking into a handheld microphone, eyes closed, seated behind a low white stone-block altar edged with yellow marigold petals and incense sticks.
