A night-time photograph of a burning effigy or large cloth-wrapped figure on a wooden bamboo frame, flames rising from the cloth and wood on a dirt ground. Several men in white kurta-style clothing stand around the fire, some holding poles and at least one man in a light shirt with a lanyard near the centre. Blurred onlookers stand in the darkness behind. The scene is lit almost entirely by the fire.
