A white minivan has its rear hatch open, and an orange-robed sannyasi stands inside the back with his back to the camera, next to a man in white dhoti and green-bordered shawl. A woman in a turquoise sari holds a small brass vessel and a yellow cloth while a man in white ritual clothes beside her offers it, and a woman in a pale sari stands at left beside a yellow van. Another man in a white shirt stands near the car. The scene suggests a ritual send-off of arriving or departing devotees.Three women stand at the open side door of a white minivan, hands pressed together in namaskar as they face a deity murti seated inside. Center, a woman in a cream sari with a gold border and a red-orange shawl holds her hands together. On the right, a man in a bronze-brown silk kurta with a rudraksha mala smiles while holding a silver kalasha topped with yellow flowers and mango leaves, and a silver tray with flowers, fruit and lamps. Another person's hand holds the tray at the right edge. Ritual puja items are being carried. The man with the kalasha wears glasses and has no visible long swept-back hair, crown or saffron clothing, so his identity is uncertain.2008-09-30Outdoor photo beside a white minivan with its sliding side door open.
