A busy annadan food-serving scene in a thatched-roof hall. In the foreground a shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes holds a white paper plate of yellow food. Beside him a man in white shirt and white dhoti spoons food from a large steel pot, while a woman in white with a gold necklace and a child in white also take part. Behind them crowds of men in white and light clothing gather around steel vessels of food. A wall behind shows exhibition panels with photographs, a colourful bunting strip and a banner.

A young man in a white shirt with a dark rudraksha mala and a visitor badge serves from a large steel pot, ladling food onto a leaf plate held by an elderly woman in a white shawl. Behind them a crowd of devotees waits, including children in dark school-style clothes and a woman in a green sari with gold jewellery. A banner reads Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, and a board above shows photographs of a smiling woman in orange and a hilltop shrine.2010-01-08 +3 copiesJanuary 08 20102010-01-08 +3 copiesPhoto 99229012010-01-01 +3 copiesPhoto of a communal meal service under a thatched shed open at the sides, with palm trees behind. Volunteers in white dhotis and white shirts stand behind a long steel serving counter, ladling curry from large steel vessels into bowls and placing flatbreads on plates. A woman in a yellow-orange saree and bangles holds a plate and receives food, while a man in a khaki shirt in the foreground reaches for a plate. Large aluminium cooking pots and gas cylinders sit on the left. Several other people in white stand and wait in line. The scene depicts annadan, a food distribution, rather than a ritual.2010-02-18Photo 99166832010-01-01 +2 copiesAnnadhan in 20102010-01-01 +2 copiesA photograph of a crowd of men and some women in white clothing reaching toward a large metal cooking pot with a dark interior, passing food onto paper plates. A man at the front left wears a white shirt with an orange-red sash, and a man at the right wears a white shirt and a rudraksha mala. Others stretch their hands forward; a thatched roof overhead and a partly visible banner in the upper left suggest a temporary serving shed. The scene looks like annadan, food distribution to devotees.2010-01-08Photo 82886332010-01-01 +2 copies
