Indoor temple scene during a procession-related puja before two gilded deity murtis, identified by the Tamil and English text above as Sri Nithyanandeshwara and Nithyanandeshwari. Both murtis are heavily adorned with white, yellow, red and pink flower garlands, jewelled silver ornaments and crowns. In the foreground a priest in white dhoti and shirt stands at left, arm raised, beside a gold pillar. Before the deities stand a brass plate of nuts and grains, coconut halves, bananas, a pink and white flower-wrapped offering, steel bowls and a kalasha, with an orange cloth draped over an offering. A date stamp reads 31 10 06 at right.
