A dense crowd of men in white shirts and dhotis fills a hall, many raising their hands and clapping enthusiastically toward the front. Large banners behind them show a smiling man with long hair and an ornate white-and-gold shawl beside a banner listing Books, DVD/ACD, Tapes and Gift articles, with the website www.nithyananda.org visible. Another banner in Tamil lists dates 14-17 2006 and phone numbers. The people are seated and standing close together, with several in front partly cut off by the frame.
