A photograph of a Hindu puja ritual indoors. A man with bare upper body wearing a white and orange-striped dhoti and a rudraksha mala stoops over a floor mat, tipping yellow flowers from a steel bowl. Beside him a shirtless priest in a blue head-cloth pours liquid from a brass vessel, and other priests in white dhotis attend. Behind them, a figure with long hair, a gold necklace, and red shawl sits on an ornate golden peetha/throne backed by a gold halo, with a red cushion. Fruit sits in a yellow basket, a fire burns in a pit, and flower garlands lie in the foreground.

Several priests in white dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies stand at the fire; the central priest in a maroon turban pours from a brass vessel with a flower garland, while others hold offerings. Umbrellas with ornate canopies and marigold garlands decorate the hall, and a few onlookers in orange and white sit at the edges. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person, so this is a ritual scene with priests and devotees.2018-04-14May 10 20182018-05-10 +1 copiesA night ritual in a open tent with a fire pit (homa) at the centre-left, where a priest in white dhoti and a shawl with an orange border tends the flames beside offerings of fruit, flower garlands and a silver tray.
