Behind the lingam stands a gold kalasha-style ornament and a golden pedestal. The lingam sits on an orange cloth with an ornate gold and jewelled necklace laid across it. To the right stands a black deity murti in a pink and gold silk sari with a jewelled collar and garland; to the left stands a golden-brown figure with a garland. A folded striped cloth rests on a small brass stand at the lower left. Yellow walls and pink curtains frame the altar.2024-07-28February 05 20142014-02-05 +1 copiesPhotograph of a shrine inside a gold-trimmed niche with no people visible. A Shiva lingam rises from a golden yoni-pitha base, wrapped in an orange and gold cloth, with a red-and-white bindu mark and a rudraksha-style necklace. White and yellow marigold garlands and red flowers drape the lingam. Beside it stand two bronze statues: a female deity in a red sari with a gold crown, jewelled necklaces and a yellow garland, and a smaller figure in a pink-and-gold headdress with yellow garlands. A small bronze figure sits in front on a purple brocade cloth with a green-stoned necklace. A golden naga hood canopy and a trident are carved into the gold backdrop.2025-02-14Photo 116911772014-12-18
