April 30 20202020-04-30A photograph inside a temple shrine with golden arches and a red curtain backdrop. A shaved-headed man with a bare back and orange cloth wrapped around his waist stands with his back to the camera, raising a pink flower or offering toward the altar. On the altar, a Shiva lingam decorated with pink flower garlands and a white Shiva face stands before ornate golden deity figures in red and gold dress, including a crowned goddess figure and a figure in a red turban. Brass oil lamps, a brass vessel and a small wooden offering table sit in front, with rose petals scattered on the wet floor. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam in progress.2020-04-30April 30 20202020-04-30A photograph inside a richly decorated temple shrine. A bare-chested priest in orange cloth with a saffron shawl and a headband stands at the centre, his hand resting on a golden arch over a lingam with a white tripundra marking. Behind him, gilded deity murtis with crowns and jewelled necklaces stand under ornate mirror-work arches. Flanking figures wear red turbans, pink and maroon garments and heavy jewelled necklaces. The figures are statues, not living people, and the priest is a devotee performing abhishekam or puja at the sanctum.2020-11-24December 29 20182018-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29December 31 20082008-12-31June 20 20182018-06-20A person in an orange saffron robe with long, loose dark hair and a vertical tilak on the forehead stands at left, draping a garland of yellow marigolds and red-and-white flowers over a dark stone lingam at the centre. Behind it sit two large gilded metal deity statues wearing jewelled crowns, layered gold necklaces, and maroon and green silk garments, framed by a flower-decorated backdrop of yellow, orange and red blossoms. A small brass deity figure stands in an ornate arched frame in the foreground with more marigold garlands hanging around it, and a brass vessel rests at the lower right. The scene appears to be a temple puja with floral decoration.2007-01-01A photograph inside a temple-style shrine showing a gold-framed arch above a large deity murti pair, a seated figure with a crown and orange turban and a standing consort in red and gold, both heavily adorned with jewelled necklaces and garlands. In front, a golden kalasha-like murti sits in a bed of marigold and red garlands on a golden base. Two people stand at left: a figure in a long-sleeved orange robe holding a plate with offerings, and a figure with long dark hair in a sleeveless orange top and orange skirt, reaching toward the deity. A small white figure in red robes wearing a garland sits at the bottom centre, and brass oil lamps stand on the lower left.2008-12-31November 25 20202020-11-25March 27 20162016-03-27
