A photograph of a tall, richly painted South Indian gopuram, the ornate temple tower, rising above a stone-paved courtyard. Its tiers are decorated with colourful sculptures in turquoise, pink, white and green, with small niches and shrine openings. In the foreground a stone pillared hall stands beside a small structure with red and white striped cloth hangings, and a bamboo-and-thatch canopy shelters the walkway. A blue banner with a Vaishnava trident and tilak emblem hangs from the canopy. One small distant figure stands near the left pillars. No a person candidate is visible.2008-07-29July 30 20082008-07-30 +1 copiesAugust 17 20072007-08-17A photograph looking up at a tall, colourfully painted South Indian temple gopuram with tiers of carved stucco figures in pink, green, blue and yellow.
