A barefoot man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with a long rudraksha mala, raises a brass arati lamp with flame toward the sky while holding a small handbell in the other hand. Behind him a woman in white with a bindi and dark standing figures watch. Seated in the foreground, a bearded man in white clothes gestures with open hands beside a wooden side table bearing a brass kalasha and a brass puja vessel, and a row of brass pots and a plate of fruit and flowers lie on the ground. Several seated and standing devotees in white clothes surround the scene, and a rudraksha-adorned priest figure stands at the centre.2004-07-02November 20 20062006-11-20A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead stands barefoot in an orange saffron robe with a gold bead necklace, palms pressed together in anjali. A crowd of men and boys in white dhotis and shirts, some with tilak marks, stands beneath large banyan trees. A boy in a red patterned sweater joins his hands in front. Clay pots with offerings sit at the bottom edge. Swamiji (probable) is identified by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robe and gold bead necklace, standing as the central figure leading the ritual.2005-12-31July 25 20072007-07-25A man with long swept-back dark hair stands barefoot on a dark stone slab with his palms pressed together in anjali mudra, eyes lowered. He wears saffron-orange cloth draped over the shoulders and wrapped at the waist, with a white and red jasmine-and-rose garland and a rudraksha mala with ceremonial gold ornaments on his chest, plus rudraksha bracelets on his wrists and upper arms. A woman in saffron sari stands behind him with hands joined, and another woman in a white sari with a yellow shawl stands to the right. A red patterned mat lies at his feet and a blue-and-white patterned runner stretches across the sandy ground beneath trees.2012-04-272004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa2004-07-02July 27 20082008-07-27July 25 20072007-07-25A photograph of a ritual aarti at an outdoor shrine area. A long-haired figure in a red sleeveless top and orange cloth, wearing a white flower garland with red and white beads, holds a brass aarti lamp with a lit flame in one hand and a small brass bell in the other. Beside him a man in a white shirt and orange shawl holds a brass plate with offerings. On the left, a person in orange robes with a tilak on the forehead has hands pressed together in namaste. On the right, another orange-robed person raises a hand toward the lamp. An orange cloth canopy hangs in the background, with greenery behind it.2009-07-07Outdoor procession on a sandy path lined with palm trees and bunting, with a trident-topped staff at left. A central figure in saffron robes with long swept-back dark hair, a large white and red flower garland, and a rudraksha-style necklace walks forward. Around him, men in white dhotis and orange shawls carry staffs and walk barefoot; one man in orange robes and an orange-sashed man with a beard walk alongside, and a bearded man in white with an orange shawl and mala is at the front right. A man in a grey shirt stands at the back right. Strewn green leaves cover the ground. Distinctive saffron robes, long hair and garland cues appear on the central figure; the identification is probable but appearance-based only. +1 copies
