July 21 20052005-07-21 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremony at an outdoor temple-like shrine. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a red dhoti and red shawl draped over a bare shoulder, several gold beaded necklaces and a gold pendant, stands with his right arm raised toward a red cloth backdrop. Next to him, a shaved-headed priest in saffron-orange robes with a white forehead mark and gold necklaces holds a brass plate of offerings and flowers. A large deity murti is adorned with yellow, white, red and purple garlands and decorative gold ornaments. A corrugated roof, a small plant and a cameraman appear in the background. Swamiji (probable): the long swept-back hair, red shawl and ornate gold necklaces match the cues for the figure in red, who is performing the ritual gesture before the decorated murti.2010-12-22April 02 20032003-04-02Outdoor ritual photo under a large shady tree at an ashram.
