A photograph of a stone temple gopuram with dense carved sculpture, pilasters and niches, showing a crowd of devotees in front of its base. In the centre, a smiling man wears an orange turban, an orange shawl over a bare upper body and a thick gold-coloured necklace, holding a small object in his hands. Around him, men in white shirts and white dhotis wear rudraksha malas and stand close, one holding a green badge. A man in a red-and-gold shawl stands at the right edge, and an older bearded man in white is visible in the background. The man in orange is distinctly dressed with long swept-back hair, saffron turban, gold-ornamented necklace and ceremonial wrap, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji; the appearance is a probable match, shown as Swamiji (probable) in the central figure's role as a visiting sannyasi at the temple.

Photograph of a crowd leaving or entering a grand grey stone temple gateway with intricately carved sculptures and latticed windows, with a white gopuram tower visible in the distance through the arch. Many men in white dhotis and shirts walk through the courtyard, several wearing rudraksha malas. In the centre, a figure in saffron-orange robes with an orange turban and a beaded garland walks among them, with another person in orange robes beside him. A man in a red shawl walks at left near a wooden pole. The scene is an outdoor temple procession area with a notice board on the left.

Photograph of a crowd walking through the massive carved stone gopuram gateway of a temple, with ornate pillars, niches and sculpted figures on the walls. In the foreground a bare-chested man in a saffron/orange turban and orange cloth, with a gold necklace, stands with palms pressed together in anjali, smiling. Around him men in white dhotis and shirts and men in orange shawls, several with vertical tilaks on their foreheads, move through the entrance. A light bulb hangs in the passage. Swamiji (probable) is the figure in the orange turban with ornate gold chain, shown with folded hands during the temple procession, with distinctive saffron turban and gold ornaments, presented as a probable candidate on appearance alone.

A photo inside a stone-pillared temple corridor with carved columns and painted ceiling beams. At centre, a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a marigold garland, with a red tilak on his forehead, walks forward and gestures with one hand. Beside him, a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a yellow-and-green border wears a green beaded mala. Around them, devotees in white and saffron clothing stand and fold their hands. A woman in an orange shawl with a gold necklace is in the lower left, and a temple attendant in khaki stands at the right edge.

A photograph of a temple courtyard at Tiruvannamalai, with a tall stone gopuram wall carved with figures behind. A man in a saffron robe with a long dark swept-back hair and an orange kurta, hands folded in greeting, walks forward. Beside him, another saffron-robed sannyasi with a white forehead mark and rudraksha-style garlands walks, and a third saffron-robed figure with a white forehead mark follows. Two garlands of flowers hang over the arms of attendants. Priests and devotees in white dhotis, some in yellow-trimmed shawls, line the path, and a metal scaffold stands at right. The courtyard pillars and stone elephant figure are visible at left.

A procession walks out of a stone temple gateway (gopuram entrance) with ornately painted sculptured tower above. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange robe with a shaved head and a tilak walks forward gesturing with one hand, flanked by a man in a saffron robe behind him. To his right, a bare-chested man in a red shawl and red dhoti carries a decorated kalasha pot with a green coconut-style top and garland. Around them, men in white dhotis and white shirts walk, one bare-chested man holds a bunch of bananas, and a few men wear rudraksha or beaded necklaces. The stone pavement and temple architecture set the scene.
