In the upper left, a figure in an orange-saffron robe with long dark hair sits on a raised seat holding a long thin rod, with black umbrellas beside him. In the centre stands a black deity murti in a golden arched frame, draped in red cloth, set on a rocky mound with a red-draped altar and a shivalinga-like object in front. Facing it, rows of seated devotees wear white clothes and white headbands, seen from behind; one woman wears a red blouse and another a white sari with pink border. Lush green foliage surrounds the scene.2004-06-01July 21 20062006-07-21December 18 20052005-12-18 +1 copiesDecember 19 20052005-12-19 +1 copiesJuly 21 20062006-07-21December 18 20052005-12-18 +1 copiesJuly 21 20062006-07-21December 19 20052005-12-19 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated group outdoors beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. Dozens of devotees sit on mats in rows facing a small shrine on a raised red platform, where a figure wrapped in orange cloth and garlanded with flowers sits under an arch. Many seated devotees wear white clothes with orange shawls or saffron stoles; one foreground man wears a white dhoti and white shawl, and another wears a white kurta with a rudraksha-style red and white garland. A brass bell hangs from a branch above the shrine. The ground is bare earth with woven mats.2006-10-11 +1 copies
