A tall tiered gopuram tower with rows of sculpted figures rises on the left, with a rocky hill behind it. In the centre, an open pillared hall with a pitched roof stands in a dusty courtyard. Several people walk through the scene: a young boy in a dark dhoti-style cloth at left, a woman in a white sari near the right edge, and figures in light clothing crossing the courtyard. Thatched stalls and clay pots sit at the left, and a small painted sign hangs on a stall.Outdoor photograph of a procession walking along a paved path beside a long stone boundary wall toward a tall white gopuram temple tower with carved tiers. In the centre, two saffron-robed men walk barefoot: the older man on the left has a shaved head and bare arms beneath an orange cloth, and the younger man beside him has long dark hair, wears a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, and holds his hands together near his face in greeting. Around them are devotees, including a woman in a red sari with gold border, a man in white dhoti carrying a green garland, a man in a white shirt with a pink rosette, and a uniformed police officer on the right. Trees and a cloudy sky frame the scene.2006-12-041978 - The Avatar’s biological familyDecember 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04May 24 19941994-05-24A large crowd of devotees stands and sits on a rocky hilltop in front of a tall white gopuram of a South Indian temple, with distant hills and town buildings beyond. Many wear white clothes with orange shawls or scarves around their necks. In the foreground, a heap of pink lotus flowers and white jasmine garlands rests on the stone, with orange petals scattered nearby. A woman in a white sari at left raises her arm and points toward the temple, while a man in white at right stands with hands folded at his chest. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance; the scene shows devotees gathered for a temple visit.2008-08-02A barefoot man stands on a wet paved walkway in front of a metal railing and stone steps, wearing an orange-saffron shawl draped over the shoulders and wrapped around the waist, with gold-bordered orange cloth and a red undergarment visible at the neck. He has a red tilak mark on his forehead and long dark hair swept back, and he smiles at the camera. Behind him, a golden-domed temple tower rises above the railings under a pale sky.2008-09-04Yogananda Puri +2 copiesA man in white ritual clothes stands in the left foreground, viewed from behind and slightly from the side, wearing a white turban with red stripes and an orange-saffron shawl draped over his shoulder. Beyond him spreads a town of low rooftops and palm trees under a hazy sky, with two tall white gopuram temple towers rising in the centre and a rocky hill covered in trees on the right. The scene suggests a hilltop vantage point overlooking a South Indian temple town.2007-05-09August 02 20082008-08-02
