December 23 20082008-12-23December 29 20092009-12-29December 26 20092009-12-26A dark stone Nandi bull sculpture in the foreground wears a thick garland of yellow and red flowers and a cream cloth draped over its back. Behind it stands a tall red-and-cream pillar or dhwajasthambha with a palm-frond and flower adornment near its top, next to a red stone base. On the left, a line of people in white dhotis and white shirts holds orange and white umbrellas. On the right, several people in saffron-orange robes and white garments stand near a red flag on a pole, under palm trees at dusk. Scattered oil lamps are visible near the pillar base. The scene reads as a temple procession or ritual gathering.2016-10-03A photograph outdoors beside a white plinth and an ornate golden shrine with marigold garlands, with palm trees behind. A black stone Nandi bull statue sits in front, and a man in a white dhoti and white shirt with a yellow shawl and a rudraksha mala touches the statue's head with his right hand while holding a brass plate of yellow flowers or offerings in his left. Brass pots stand on a wooden table to the right, and another person's hands are partly visible holding a small lamp. This shows a Nandi pada puja ritual. The man is a priest or devotee; his appearance does not clearly establish any identity.2010-01-24 +1 copiesOutdoors under palm and banana trees, a figure in an orange-saffron shawl over a golden-yellow garment, with long dark swept-back hair and a long white and red flower garland, walks beside a black stone Nandi bull statue on a white pedestal. The Nandi is garlanded with white, yellow, purple and red flower garlands and has a white floral crown. Several people in white ritual clothes and orange shawls stand around, one holding a brass kalasha vessel. Strings of bunting and a tree decorate the background. The figure is a candidate for Swamiji by appearance with several cues (long hair, saffron clothing, garland), and the page indicates he was present at this event, so this is a probable match.2007-01-01Outdoor photograph of a black stone Nandi bull statue seated on a black pedestal decorated with yellow marigold garland, set before a white stepped plinth topped by a carved shrine with garlands. Sandy ground and palm trees behind. Several men in white and light clothing stand at left near a stone structure, one person holds a basket of offerings, and a woman in a white sari with blue border stands at right beside a stacked log pile and a basket. The scene appears to be a temple or shrine ground.2007-02-16Outdoor temple courtyard with sandy ground and palm trees. A large black stone Nandi bull statue, garlanded with yellow and red flowers, sits on a tall white pedestal. In front, colourful rangoli floor art shows three painted figures outlined in white powder: a blue-skinned deity figure at top, a pink and red figure in the middle, and a seated golden-skinned figure with a yellow cloth at bottom, with marigold petals scattered around. A man in white clothes stands behind the pedestal. Behind are signboards, a thatched hut, grey stone sculptures and a red-and-white decorative pillar.2009-12-24December 31 20092009-12-31August 27 20162016-08-27 +1 copiesSeptember 30 20082008-09-30March 05 20082008-03-05 +1 copies
