Devotees line both sides in white and cream clothes, some with orange and red shawls, several with hands pressed in anjali. A woman on the left wears a white sari with a purple border and a blue top. Two bald men in orange-striped shawls stand on the right with folded hands, and a man in a grey jacket and white dhoti stands nearby. Towards the far end, figures stand in a row near a bright opening.2016-05-01 +1 copiesOctober 10 20102010-10-10December 31 20092009-12-31A photograph taken inside a large white marquee tent during a programme, with a long green carpet running down the centre aisle between two red-carpeted lanes. Hundreds of people line both sides, many with hands joined in namaskar, mostly young men in white shirts and dhotis on the left and women in white and coloured saris on the right. Near the middle of the aisle a figure in an orange-saffron robe walks toward the front, with another figure in white beside him. Yellow and red bunting drapes the tent ceiling, and decorative yellow-and-green banners with sunflower motifs line the sides, with lights and scaffolding overhead. Several hundred people are visible.2006-09-17Two long rows of devotees stand facing each other along a red carpet runway inside a large white tent decorated with hanging tassel garlands and lights. Women on the left wear saris and salwar in blue, green and orange with red-orange shawls draped over their shoulders. Men on the right wear white kurta-dhoti or white shirts with orange and saffron wraps and red-orange shawls. Several people stand barefoot. Two large screens display an image at the far end of the tent. The scene suggests a welcoming line or darshan arrangement at a Kumbh Mela camp.2016-04-26Outdoor community gathering at a sunlit stage area under a white tent canopy, with a dirt ground and a low white wall. A large banner shows a close-up portrait of a person in an orange turban and orange garment, looking upward; a circular portrait with a red headdress also appears above the stage. The stage is decorated with a striped red and gold textile backdrop, balloons in red, white and blue, and a painted sign reading NITHYANANDA. Many people stand in front of the stage wearing white clothes and yellow-and-white ribbon rosettes. Women in white saris, one in an orange and blue sari, stand at the front, and a grey-haired woman in white with glasses is at the right edge. Children in white stand among them. Decorative umbrellas with colourful fabric frame the stage.2007-02-15June 23 20132013-06-23 +2 copiesDecember 31 20092009-12-31A large crowd of devotees sits and stands under a decorated open pavilion at an outdoor event. Overhead hang red and orange marigold garlands, strings of leaves and orange flags, and tall decorated pillars wrapped in patterned cloth line the sides. Many attendees wear white dhotis and white sarees, with some in green, yellow and orange saris, and a few men wear rudraksha or beaded necklaces. In the foreground, a woman in white sits cross-legged with hands folded, beside a man in a pink checked shirt with palms together. The people are seated in rows on a bare ground floor, with trees and palms visible beyond the pavilion's open sides. The scene appears to be a satsang or darshan gathering.2007-01-01
