Devotees crowd the street. In the centre, a woman in a rust-orange sari holds a brass plate with a lit oil lamp toward the front, her face lit by the flame, while another woman beside her also raises a hand near the plate. Several women wear rudraksha malas and white-and-gold sari borders. A man with a shaved head and white forehead markings looks up at the left. A woman in white with a gold border stands in the lower left with hands raised in reverence. Long red and white ceremonial poles rise above the crowd. Visible people number roughly 20 to 25, and no one in the image is identifiable as a person.2016-12-23A ritual scene in a warmly lit hall. A central figure in a gold crown-like headpiece, layered flower garlands of yellow and red blooms, a gold-bordered white cloth and a jewelled armlet holds a ceremonial gold vessel with a long spout over a tray of petals and fruit. Facing him, a bare-chested devotee in a yellow-and-orange cloth with red and gold head wrap and rudraksha mala bows forward. Gold decorative panels and a gilded image of a deity form stand in the background, and a second attendant in a red turban and dhoti is partially visible at right.2015-07-13A procession scene under an orange and red canopy with tasselled edges and palm trees behind. In the centre, a figure in orange robes with a golden staff topped by a trident stands beside a tall, long-haired man wearing a golden crown-like headpiece and a white floral garland. Another bearded man in orange with a rudraksha-style beaded garland holds a silver tray of flowers and leaves, while a bald man in orange and glasses holds a brass kalasha filled with yellow and red flowers. Several men and a woman in white or orange stand around, some with hands folded in greeting. Whether the central figure is a person cannot be determined from appearance alone, so the identity is left unsure.2008-12-27September 16 20132013-09-16
