Only the tops of a few heads are visible at the very bottom of the frame.2009-08-03A photograph of a tall white flagpole on a round white plinth strewn with pink flower petals, flying the Indian tricolour (saffron, white, green with blue Ashoka chakra) against a clear blue sky. A line of women in white and cream saris and kurtas stands at attention on the left in front of a white corrugated-roof building, several saluting; one woman in a peach shawl stands near the pole. On the right, women in orange and white clothing sit on the sand, and a woman in a light top salutes. Bunting in pastel colours hangs from the building eaves, and trees stand behind. A red mat lies on the sand at lower left.2008-01-25A tall white flagpole rises into a cloudy sky, topped by a blue emblem and a small saffron-orange cloth tied near the top. A thin rope runs down the pole. At the bottom, a crowd of onlookers gazes upward, including a woman in a white sari with hands joined in prayer, and a man with a video camera on a tripod at the left. Trees and a palm fringe the right and left edges, with overhead wires strung across the background.2009-07-10July 27 20082008-07-27Outdoor photo of an Indian tricolour flag with saffron, white and green bands and a navy Ashoka chakra, flying from a tall dark pole against an overcast sky. Strings of small multicoloured pennant bunting stretch across the scene, and a tiled-roof house, trees and power lines sit below. A man in a cream shirt stands on a raised platform at the pole's base, reaching up toward it, with two or three other people partly visible in the foreground, including one wearing a light shirt beside a white vehicle.2005-08-15Outdoor photograph of a flagpole rising against a pale blue sky, with a small red-orange cloth flag fluttering near its top and a rope running up the pole. Below, a crowd of people stands in silhouette, several partially visible, one with a head covering. At left, a large striped canopy in red, navy, orange and white with fringed edges shelters the gathering. A white flag edge is visible at right. The scene suggests a flag-raising during an inauguration ceremony; the visible people are part of the crowd, and no individual is clearly identifiable as a specific person.2006-11-24Outdoor photo of an Indian tricolour flag with saffron, white and green bands and a navy Ashoka Chakra flying from a tall metal pole against an overcast sky. A man in a cream-coloured shirt stands at the base of the pole, holding it or tending the flag, with a few people's heads visible at the bottom edge. Strings of small multicoloured triangular bunting stretch across the scene, with tiled-roof houses, palm and leafy trees and overhead power lines around it.2005-08-15October 03 20172017-10-03July 27 20082008-07-27A pale, overcast sky dominates the frame, with a single dark bird in flight near the centre-top. Along the bottom edge, dense green tree canopy and several palm trees line the horizon, and two tall wooden poles rise from the lower area. No people are visible in the image, and no a person candidate appears in the scene.2017-10-03Outdoor flag-hoisting ceremony on a grassy lawn under heavy grey clouds. A tall white flagpole with a dark finial stands on a tiered white base decorated with flower petals.
