A homa fire burns in a yellow-tiled square fire pit inside a tent-like hall with striped woven mats on the floor. A priest in an orange-red dhoti and shawl stands at the back holding a ladle and offering into the flames while another man in a white dhoti sits nearby. Several seated priests wear green or saffron headpieces and beaded necklaces. Brass oil lamps, coconuts, bananas and plates of flowers surround the fire. To the right, a richly decorated deity murti stands on a teal and gold pedestal with garlands, and a seated figure in a gold chair with a red turban appears at left. A tiered stack of small lamps is visible in the centre. Two people are partly visible in the lower right foreground.

In the centre, a standing man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl holds a microphone and speaks beside a large flaming homa fire pit covered in red petals and fruit offerings. Four seated men in white dhotis with rudraksha malas face the fire from the foreground, one bare-chested with a green-and-white cloth on his head. Behind them, a tiered stack of white sweets or offerings stands near the fire. On the right, a richly decorated deity murti with gold ornaments and garlands sits on an ornate teal-and-gold pedestal, and a row of stone lingams is arranged on the far right. Striped red and green mats cover the floor. Several more seated people and a seated figure in orange sit in the background, and a fan and brass lamps are visible at left.

A homa fire burns on a low platform inside a temple-like hall with red walls and a large dark wooden door. A priest in white dhoti and an orange-saffron shawl, wearing a red-orange tilak-style headpiece and gold necklace, sits cross-legged before the flames, adding offerings. A stack of wrapped bundles and garlanded kalasha-style pots surround the fire. Behind him, a figure in a red-brown ornate garment with a long swept-back black hairstyle, rudraksha-style mala and gold necklace sits on a gold-and-red peetha throne, adorned with a garland. Another person in orange shawl and white dhoti bends forward at right, and attendants in white stand nearby. A standing fan and a striped floor mat are visible.

A photograph of a Vedic homa fire ritual inside a temple hall. A tall flame rises from a tiered wooden fire altar stacked with wooden logs and flower-decorated offerings, set on a green cloth. Several priests sit or stand around it: one bare-chested man in a white dhoti with a marigold garland, another in a white dhoti with a red-and-white cloth over his shoulder holding an offering bowl, and a third in a headband and garland seated at the fire with a brass vessel. Seated devotees in white watch from the back, and a row of musicians with microphones sits at the right. Behind are gilded shrines with deity murtis under pink and violet lighting, and brass oil lamps and kalashas stand on the floor.
