Night ceremony at an outdoor temple-style stage with a fire lit before a decorated deity murti garlanded in red and yellow flowers. Several bare-chested priests in white dhotis and saffron-bordered cloths perform the ritual, one pouring or offering near the flames while another stands with folded hands. A large crowd of seated devotees in beige and cream clothing faces the stage from the foreground. On a raised platform at right, a figure seated on an ornate red-and-gold throne wears an orange-red turban and a red-and-orange shawl; the appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity, so he is described only by role as a seated presider beside the stage. Garlands, brass lamps and a tall golden umbrella frame the scene.2016-12-07December 07 20162016-12-07A photograph of a temple-style ritual hall with orange-painted walls. In the centre, a richly garlanded deity murti stands behind a platform, decorated with marigold and other flower garlands. Before it, a priest in white dhoti and a shawl performs abhishekam or puja while a fire burns at the front with offerings. Nearby a young man in a white dhoti tends the flame and a woman in a yellow sari stands beside the platform. On the right, a seated woman in orange-brown robes and a gold necklace sits on an ornate chair. Rows of seated devotees in white clothes, some with red or saffron shawls, face the altar and listen or meditate. The copyright text and archive credit are overlaid on the upper right, but no clearly identifiable a person is visible.2013-07-09October 17 20102010-10-17July 04 20132013-07-04A standing man bare-chested with a red-and-white cloth wrapped at his waist and a golden necklace raises a burning flame in his right hand at a shrine. Behind him, a tall ornate deity murti with a green backdrop, garlanded with yellow and red flowers, stands on a red-draped peetha with decorative lions. Two more ornate murtis stand at the top of the shrine. Seated devotees in white and red clothes, many with arms raised toward the flame, fill the foreground, while a cameraman in white on the left films the scene. Pale metal walls and stage equipment cases frame the hall.2015-09-19December 02 20172017-12-02December 02 20172017-12-02December 07 20162016-12-07July 17 20152015-07-17A photograph of a ceremonial puja in a tented hall with a red-draped dais under a golden canopy. Gilded deity murti are garlanded with yellow marigolds. Brass oil lamps stand at left, and smoke rises from a blue-draped altar holding kalasha pots. Priests in white dhotis and saffron-orange shawls sit on a striped rug near ceremonial staffs. On the right, a man in white with a red garland sits on a golden throne-like seat. Foreground devotees, some bald and in white, sit facing the altar in the performance of homa-style rituals.2015-07-17Night outdoor ritual before a decorated shrine with a large deity murti garlanded in red and orange flowers, and a fire pit burning in front of it. Priests in white dhotis perform the homa while a bare-chested priest in ochre cloth tends the offering. On the right, a man with a red-orange turban and saffron-red shawl sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne beneath a yellow and multicolour canopy; a cameraman and a white-clad attendant stand nearby. A large crowd of devotees sits on the red-carpeted ground, some in white and pink saris, and a brass oil lamp stands at the front.
