Above the platform water sprays from the steps. Around the platform, many men in white dhotis and shirts, some with yellow or red sashes, stand in the water, along with orange-robed sannyasis and women in saris standing on the steps and in the tank. A figure with long dark hair in saffron/orange robes and a red-and-orange garland sits on a gold-and-red throne under a floral-decorated arch and canopy on a raised orange platform. Around the platform, many men stand waist-deep in water, mostly in white dhotis and white garments, some with yellow sashes, some bare-chested, a few in orange robes. Marigold and red flower garlands decorate the platform and railings. The seated figure has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a ceremonial garland, matching the page's Swamiji cues, so this is a probable appearance-based identification of a seated figure on a throne in an in-person setting. Devotees splash and bathe in the water around the platform.2010-10-17A photograph of a ceremony in shallow water with red-and-white stone steps behind.
