December 23 20172017-12-23A photograph of a gilded shrine arrangement with three large deity murtis under an ornate golden arch against a painted backdrop of banyan-like trees. The central murti has four arms, a crown, a white pearl necklace and an orange-red sari with a green lower cloth; the murti on the left wears a red sari and holds a lotus-like object, and the murti on the right wears a pink sari and holds a veena. Smaller figures sit at the base on green silk cloth, and a partial figure in blue with a gold crown stands at the right edge beside another gilded arch. No physical people are visible, only statues.December 23 20172017-12-23A photograph of a temple shrine with gilded arched canopies over several painted deity statues on yellow-draped platforms. Three female figures in red, orange and pink saris stand on the left, one holding a veena, while two male figures in blue and gold garments with crowns and staffs stand on the right. A painted backdrop of a large banyan tree fills the background. At the right edge a person in saffron clothing and an orange turban stands partly visible, with a rudraksha-style mala around the neck. A brass bowl with oil lamp sits at lower left. The figures are deity murti, not living people.2007-09-03December 22 20172017-12-22December 23 20172017-12-23December 21 20172017-12-21June 06 20142014-06-06Making Of Sacred Arts UniversityJune 06 20142014-06-06Making Of Sacred Arts UniversityA photograph, rotated sideways, of a gold-clad deity murti in a temple sanctum. A central Shiva-form figure with a trident and a crescent-adorned crown is seated with a consort-form figure, both draped with thick garlands of yellow marigold and red flowers and a purple accent. Behind them hangs a deep red cloth and teal-and-magenta drapery framed by an ornate gilded arch. On the left, a figure in an orange-red garment with a green wrap and gold ornaments sits or stands beside silver ritual lamps and a brass bowl. Both figures appear to be statues or murtis rather than living people.2010-09-22
