A group of about eight people walks through: a central figure in a saffron-orange robe with a matching head wrap stands near the entrance, with other saffron-robed attendants and a man in white dhoti and shirt. A woman in a red sari with flowers stands among them, and a uniformed man in khaki stands nearby. Two men in white shirts and trousers stand to the right, and a man in a green shirt is at the edge. Inside the doorway a dark sanctum holds a deity murti and a kalasha-like object. Plaques with text hang on the walls.2009-07-13Four saffron-robed sannyasis walk down a temple corridor on a red carpet over a checkered floor, past blue-painted carved pillars and wooden doors of a temple hall. The lead man in front, bare-chested with a long beard, wears an orange turban, rudraksha mala and orange dhoti. Behind him a man in a white dhoti and shirt carries a bouquet, and a woman in an orange sari with a garland of flowers and beads walks ahead of a bespectacled man in orange robes holding a small object.2009-08-11August 06 20092009-08-06August 09 20072007-08-09July 27 20092009-07-27A photograph of a temple doorway with ornate cream pilasters and carved figures, where a central figure in saffron and gold draped clothing, an orange turban, a gold necklace and long dark hair walks down the steps with palms pressed together in namaste. Around the central figure, several men in white dhotis and white shirts, one wearing an orange shawl, and a man in an orange shawl follow closely. In the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes and a flower garland on his head, with rudraksha malas around his neck, holds his cupped hands to his face as another saffron-robed devotee with a shaved head offers him support. At right, a young man in saffron-yellow robes and rudraksha malas smiles as he walks beside others. Onlookers in white and light clothing stand along the wall, which is painted with a panel of small figures.2012-05-07A photograph taken at the entrance of a brightly lit temple shrine with gilded deity murtis in illuminated niches behind a tall brass lamp stand. In the foreground an elderly man with thin-framed glasses and a bald head wears a white shirt and white dhoti. Beside him stands a figure in a saffron-orange robe and saffron turban, wearing white and red flower garlands and a dark rudraksha-style mala, holding small printed cards or papers. Several devotees crowd the doorway, some in white and some in shirts, and a printed image is visible on the right edge. +1 copiesA photograph of a crowd gathered at a carved wooden temple door inside a decorated shrine, with marigold and mango-leaf garlands strung overhead and lamps lit.
