January 30 20092009-01-30Night photograph of a grey car pulled up at the entrance of a building with orange and white floral garlands strung above the doorway. A person with long dark hair and an orange sleeveless top sits in the front passenger seat, smiling and gesturing with a raised hand toward a row of men waiting outside. Around ten men in white shirts and white or cream trousers stand in a line, several with palms pressed together in greeting; one man in the foreground holds a long white garland with red and white flowers. Overhead wires and a multi-storey building with balconies form the backdrop.2006-08-10A line of men in collared shirts and trousers stands on a tiled walkway beneath a white-pillared portico, palms pressed together in greeting. Several wear blue or teal shirts and lanyard ID badges. A woman in a pink sari stands among them near a potted plant. To the right, a white van is parked and a man in white clothing stands beside it. Palm trees and leafy trees line the street behind.2010-02-18Outdoor photograph on a dirt road beside a silver-blue SUV whose driver-side window is open. A bearded man in saffron-orange robes stands by the car door, reaching toward the vehicle. Around him, men in white shirts and white dhotis stand in a line; one wears a dark beaded mala and a small framed photo card on a lanyard, and another wears a lanyard badge. Behind them are thatched huts, bare trees, a few women in colourful saris, and a blue sky with clouds.2008-07-292006 - Kailasa India Sangha ActivitiesOutdoor photograph of several men in white clothes standing on a dirt lot beside parked cars, with low tiled-roof houses and trees behind them. In the centre-left, a man in white kurta and dhoti with a saffron-orange shawl stands with arms folded; his face is partly visible and he wears a neck chain. Other men in white shirts and trousers stand around, one in sunglasses in the foreground, another wearing glasses and a watch, and one walking at the right edge. A grey car and blue car are parked nearby, and scattered rubble lies on the ground.2007-03-03Outdoor photo on a dry dirt ground beside a white vehicle, with green trees and palms behind. A man in white kurta and spectacles stands centre while a man in white garments places a long white and orange flower garland around his neck. Another man in white kurta at left reaches in, and a bearded man in a teal patterned shawl over white dhoti with an orange border holds a bundle of yellow and red flowers and a plantain-leaf offering. A man in a brown shirt and cream trousers stands at right holding papers.2004-01-01A group of roughly two dozen men stand outdoors on a sandy path in front of a white building with orange trim and a green-and-white striped awning. On the left, a white minibus with a blue stripe and Tamil lettering on its windshield is parked beside a yellow-and-white notice board. Most men wear plain white shirts with white dhotis, some with rudraksha malas. A man in the centre wears a white dhoti with a gold border and a rudraksha mala, smiling. On the right, a man with a white forehead band wears a saffron-pink shawl over a white shirt and dhoti. Several men wear grey trousers and sandals.2008-07-11A photograph at a covered building entrance with a white car, a white Ambassador-style vehicle with a red roof light, parked on a tiled floor. A man in a white shirt and grey trousers stands in the centre with hands pressed together in greeting. Beside him, a man in an orange-saffron shawl and white kurta stands with palms joined. Several men in white kurtas and dhotis stand around, most with hands folded in namaskar. Greenery and a building are visible beyond the open pillars.2009-03-03October 09 20062006-10-09A photograph at an entrance portico of a building with columns and a tiled floor. An elderly man in white dhoti and shirt, wearing glasses, steps out of a silver car and clasps hands in greeting. A man in white kurta and dhoti with an orange shawl and dark-rimmed glasses extends his hand to him, while a man in white with folded hands greets them. Other men in white and a staff member in pink uniform stand nearby, and a video camera operator is at the right edge. Trees and a railing are visible outside. The orange-shawled man shows some cues of a candidate, but the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so he is described only by role.2009-03-03An older archival photograph, slightly faded, showing a group of about ten men in white dhotis and white shirts standing in a hall with a corrugated roof and a yellow pipe overhead. Two framed religious pictures hang on the left wall. In the centre, a man in a white shirt and dhoti hands an object, possibly a small book or envelope, to a man in a light shirt and dark trousers on the right. A man circled in black ink stands at the left centre, with grey hair. No printed name or caption is visible in the image.
