A photograph of an unfinished interior hall under construction. Workers in pale, plaster-dusted clothes stand on a bamboo scaffold and a stepladder, applying beige plaster to a tall wall; one worker kneels on a higher platform near a ceiling fan, and another stands at a window on the left. A man in a striped shirt and grey trousers watches from the lower right on a clean white floor. Blue paint buckets sit on the floor and on the scaffold, and white drapery hangs from the ceiling. No a person candidate is visible.

An unfinished interior hall under construction with bare white-plastered walls and a large unpainted tan plaster patch. Workers on scaffolding and a stepladder apply paint or plaster to the walls; one worker wears a white cap and another a white cap while standing on the ladder. A standing man in a white striped shirt and grey trousers watches the work with arms folded. White cloth canopy drapes hang from the ceiling, with ceiling fans and open window frames along the walls. Paint buckets sit on the floor and polished pale floor tiles reflect light. No visible deity, ritual or a person depiction.

A photograph of an unfinished interior under construction, with bare brick walls and a newly plastered dark wall. A man in an orange shirt and dark trousers leans over a wooden plank scaffold while plastering the wall. A second man in a white shirt and light trousers works at the right side on a ladder-like scaffold. In the foreground, a woman in an orange-brown sari with a pink head covering stands near metal scaffolding, and a bucket of plaster sits on the plank. A grey electrical distribution box is mounted on the right wall.

A photograph of an unfinished concrete building under construction, with a flat slab ceiling being formed on timber shuttering propped by blue steel adjustable props. Workers stand on wooden planks and scaffolding: one man in a light blue shirt and grey trousers reaches up to adjust a prop, another in a yellow shirt stands at left, and a worker in an orange shirt stands at right near stacked cement bags and concrete blocks. Rough concrete columns and bare brick walls surround them, with green trees visible through the open structure.

A photograph of an unfinished interior under construction at the Bidadi Ashram. Bare grey concrete block walls are being plastered with wet mortar, which is visibly spattered across the lower and middle sections. Four workers are at work: one in a pink shirt and tan trousers with a yellow head wrap stands on a wooden step ladder at left, a worker in a blue shirt and white head cloth crouches on a green tarpaulin mixing or tending a bucket of mortar, and two more men in pale kurtas with pink and green head wraps stand at right near a long wooden pole leaning on the wall. A ceiling fan hangs from the bare concrete ceiling, and blue tarpaulin and sacks lie on the floor. No deity, a person, or ritual activity is visible.

A worker stands on a grey metal scaffold beneath a freshly plastered ceiling, applying plaster or filler to a beige-painted ceiling surface. He wears a yellow top and a pink-and-green head wrap, and holds a trowel-like tool at his waist. A white ceiling fan hangs at the left edge, and a white air-conditioning vent is set into the ceiling at upper right. The ceiling panels are white acoustic tiles.

A photograph of a building under construction on a dusty site. Concrete block walls rise around a central area, with wooden scaffolding poles lashed together and a steel roof truss frame overhead. Several workers in mixed clothing are positioned on the scaffolding and along the wall; one man in a blue shirt stands on a scaffold platform, another in a light shirt and green cloth works on the far right, and a man in a white shirt and light cloth stands at the front. A worker in a white shirt and dark trousers sits in the foreground near a pile of cement bags, and a construction crane is visible in the background.
