A photograph of a large hall with white walls and a glossy grey-tiled floor, lined with rows of maroon padded chairs with gold frames. Many people stand in a loose crowd on the left, some in white, others in dark and colourful clothes, moving toward the front. On the right, a raised stage has a red and blue drape, a banner reading Shiva, and a flower arrangement; several people in white and saffron-toned clothing stand on and around the stage, and a figure in orange and white stands near its edge. A large portrait of an older bearded man is visible on the left wall. The scene appears to be a gathering before or during an event.
