A brass kalasha pot wrapped in a white cord netting stands on a silver-edged tray, topped with mango leaves and a coconut-like fruit, on a table draped in blue and gold brocade. Marigolds and pink and white flowers line the white platform behind it. A hand in the upper right holds a thin stick or thread over the pot. Brass cups of red kumkum, a silver conch-shaped vessel, a small oil lamp and a silver jug sit around it. Orange-robed participants are visible at the right edge, consistent with a homa or puja setting.2009-09-25September 25 20092009-09-25 +1 copiesSeptember 25 20092009-09-25A photograph of a ritual puja setup on a stone ledge.
