A long-haired man with a red bindi and white tilak stands centre frame, wearing an orange-saffron shawl draped over one shoulder and a heavy gold necklace of beads with dark accents and a gold pendant. His hands are clasped at waist level and he looks to the side. Behind him a tall gold-and-wood staff or pole is held by someone at left in orange. A younger man at right wears a yellow shawl over white clothes with a red tilak, and a woman in glasses stands at far right. Thatched huts and palm fronds frame the background.
