Several people in traditional attire stand around a brass lamp and a bronze deity murti draped in colourful garlands. A woman in a red blouse and dark patterned skirt holds a lit oil lamp in aarti, while attendants in red and maroon dhotis and a figure in a tall ornate headdress hold offerings. Two figures stand in the background, one wearing an orange-red turban and rudraksha-style necklaces, beside a gilded arch. Small brass oil lamps, a white floral garland and a basket of petals sit on the stone floor. The setting suggests a deepam or puja performed in a temple sanctum.2013-11-17Photo 99215492021-12-19 +1 copiesJuly 31 20152015-07-31February 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copiesDecember 31 20172017-12-31A photograph of a ritual in a temple sanctum. A man wearing a rust-red turban, rust-red robe and a white flower garland, with long dark dreadlocks, holds a lit oil lamp in one hand and a brass implement in the other, offering arati toward a deity murti heavily decorated with multicoloured flower garlands, gold ornaments and jewelled adornments. Behind him stands a golden-hued metal figure and another garlanded deity form. The setting is a stone-walled temple interior with warm light.2017-07-09November 17 20132013-11-17
