A woman in a pink sari with a yellow blouse walks barefoot across the left foreground, while a man in a checked shirt and brown lungi stands at the right edge near a silver SUV parked beyond the plots. Dense green trees and a cloudy sky fill the background.2008-07-29An outdoor photo of a large open ground prepared for a mass ritual, with rows of clay pots or vessels arranged across the sandy field and a long white cloth or mat laid down the centre. Small figures in white move among the rows, tending the arrangement. Along the edges stand red and white bunting, rows of white flags on poles, and blue and white tented shelters with white tables and red chairs on the left. Palm trees and buildings frame the background. A large banner portrait of a person in a dark garment hangs on a building, and another printed banner with a smaller portrait appears near the right side of the field. The people are too small to identify individually.2007-07-22Outdoor photograph of a dry, red-earth ground laid out with concentric curved rows of angled terracotta brick edging, forming garden beds with young saplings and shrubs planted inside. Several thin trees with green leaves stand in the beds, and a small red-and-white marker or flag pole is visible at the right. Low scrub and a pale sky lie in the distance. No people are present.2009-07-14A photograph of an unfinished construction site on a hillside with red-dirt ground, piles of grey gravel and rubble in the foreground, and a concrete foundation with exposed rebar. Two rust-red shipping containers sit behind a line of white poles and bundled timber, with a brick wall at left. Beyond the fence, palm and leafy trees and red-roofed buildings stretch toward a hazy town skyline. No people are visible and no ritual, deity or a person appears in the scene.2013-07-14
