He wears a heavy multi-strand necklace of gold beads and a gold pendant, with a red bindi on his forehead and his long dark hair swept back. He holds an open book or booklet in his other hand. Behind him, a shaved-headed man in white ritual clothing stands at the right edge, and devotees with folded palms, including a woman in a green and gold sari, stand at the left. Orange and yellow hanging cloths and a colourful decorated backdrop fill the blurred background.
