A man with long dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead stands outdoors in an orange saffron robe with a gold bead necklace, holding a brass oil lamp with a curved handle and a lit flame at the top. Beneath it he holds a cut-glass tray. Blurred palm fronds and an overcast sky fill the background. He appears to be performing an aarti with the lamp.
