The deities are seated under a gilded arch in a temple-like pavilion. In the foreground a small figure in orange and a white shawl with garlands sits beside ritual brass vessels, and a seated man in orange robes sits at the left edge. A brass lamp stand and kalasha-type vessels surround the altar. Some garland-decorated golden structure is placed before the murti.2009-12-30Night aarti at a shrine under a corrugated roof. A young man in orange robes with a bare chest and white body markings raises a lit oil lamp toward a silver-and-gold deity murti decorated with marigold and multicoloured garlands, seated on a silver throne between two golden guardian figures. A second orange-robed man beside him holds a brass bell, and a third man in glasses and a white dhoti stands behind with bare chest and sacred markings. Teal and blue painted peacock-like forms lie at the base of the shrine steps, and coloured string lights hang in the background.2017-01-08A photograph of a temple ritual in progress. A man with long, voluminous dark hair and a white forehead mark, wearing an orange robe and a large gold bead necklace, bends forward and places his right hand on a golden deity murti adorned with garlands, purple and yellow cloth and a gold crown. A gold-and-wood pedestal with a stepped gold base sits before the figure. In the background, a second person in an orange robe holds a silver offering vessel and a third person in orange with glasses kneels with palms pressed together. A silver vessel of water with a flower and an oil lamp sit on the dark floor. The a person appearance match is based on long hair, orange robe and gold necklace, so the identification is an appearance-based probable match.2007-11-09A photograph inside an open temple pavilion showing a figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair and a flower garland performing an aarti with a brass oil lamp (deepa) before a deity murti. A second person in orange robes and a garland stands behind to the left. The shrine is decorated with multicoloured flower garlands and yellow-and-orange marigold strands draped over a large dark-faced deity figure with a gold crown, and a female deity figure in red-orange dress with gold jewellery sits in a gilded arch behind. A white statue of a child-form figure in orange cloth with a red garland sits at the lower front of the shrine. Brass lamps and a kalasha stand on the platform.2008-12-25December 30 20092009-12-30December 29 20072007-12-29A photograph of a temple ritual in an open pavilion. A man in a sleeveless saffron-orange garment with a white flower garland stands at left, holding up a tall brass aarti lamp with a lit flame toward a deity pair. Behind the lamp, a seated golden deity murti in a red garment and crown, with a garland of yellow, orange and purple flowers, is framed by a large floral arch. Brass oil lamps and a kalasha-like gold object sit on the altar in front. A second saffron-clad seated figure with a garland is at lower left, and a man in white stands at the far left edge. The scene reads as aarti during puja, with the people visible partly and the figures identifiable only by clothing and role.2009-12-30March 02 20112011-03-02A shaved-headed priest in an orange robe stands at left holding a brass lamp and a silver ritual implement near a flaming oil lamp on a stand. Seated on a gold throne at centre is a figure in orange robes, an orange turban and a flower garland, hands folded in greeting. Above them is a red and multicoloured tasselled canopy, and at right a deity murti decorated with white flower garlands and sparkling jewellery.2010-11-05
