Many devotees walk closely together, most dressed in white dhotis and saris with gold borders, while some wear saffron or orange garments. Several women wear white saris and garlands, and a few men wear white headwear or turbans. In the background a brightly lit ratha or chariot with a golden canopy and lamps moves through the crowd, and a tent-like canopy sits to the left. Some participants clap and sway as they move forward.2016-01-03March 12 20202020-03-12Outdoor photo of a group of devotees dressed in white dhotis and white shirts walking on reddish-brown earth beneath a large spreading tree with bare branches and hanging aerial roots. Near the tree trunk stands a decorated deity murti or ornate figure with gold-coloured adornments set within a golden arched frame. Several men in white dhotis, some with gold-bordered cloth, move among the crowd, and a few women in white saris are also visible. Rocks, fallen leaves and a red boundary wall with bamboo scaffolding appear in the background.2016-02-27 +1 copies
