Night procession on a dark rural road, lit by lamps on a decorated vehicle. A figure in saffron/orange robes sits atop an ornate vehicle hung with marigold garlands, colourful tassels and a fringed canopy with striped banners. A long line of people in white and cream clothes, several women in red, orange and blue saffron-and-cream sarees, and children in red and white kurtas walk alongside, some holding lamps. Bamboo fronds and grass frame the right side. Whether the seated figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance; treat as an unidentified figure in saffron.2013-01-01January 1st 2013 +1 copiesA night procession on a dirt path lined with trees and a red-orange boundary wall. Drummers in saffron-orange dhotis lead, playing large drums slung over their shoulders, with a brass horn player in a rust-red kurta nearby. Behind them, a palanquin-style canopy and ornate golden umbrellas or parasols are carried above a crowd of devotees in white kurtas and dhotis with red and orange shawls, many wearing rudraksha and flower garlands. A few people in saffron robes walk among them.
