At centre, a smoking fire pit sends up a plume of smoke, surrounded by stacked brick-shaped offering blocks decorated with flower garlands and marigolds. A bearded priest in a white dhoti and gold-coloured shawl stands in the middle holding a small offering vessel, and a bare-chested attendant in orange cloth on the left holds a brass tray. Other priests in white and orange clothing, some wearing rudraksha beads, stand nearby, and a crowd of devotees in white and bright saris watches with hands folded along the right. Brass lamps, a copper pot, banana leaves, fruit and marigold garlands fill the red-and-white striped floor mats. Colourful cloth decorations and kalasha-style pillars hang overhead.2018-04-14 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple hall with gilded carved pillars and an ornate golden arch.
