A line of devotees walks on a sandy path. In front, a monastic in saffron and red robes carries a silver kalasha pot, and another man holds a tall pole with a blue, orange and gold canopy umbrella overhead. Several men in saffron robes with bare shoulders and shaved heads, some with white sandalwood markings on arms and rudraksha malas, walk beside them. Women in white and orange saris wear rudraksha necklaces. A man in white dhoti with gold border holds a decorated banner pole on the right, and a red and white ceremonial item is carried on the left.2014-04-07November 20 20102010-11-20November 27 20122012-11-27Night outdoor gathering at a temple area with a crowd of devotees standing under dark trees. On the left, a young man with long dark swept-back hair wears an orange-saffron shawl and orange dhoti with gold border and a red bindi, hands clasped, appearing to be a sannyasi in an orange robe; he is an appearance-based candidate for a person given the long swept hair, saffron clothing and red forehead mark, though this is uncertain. Beside him, a bearded man in white kurta holds a small metal kalasha-style pot, and a young woman in white holds a metal vessel. Other devotees in white and sarees stand around, one young man holds a plastic bag.2005-03-08Night photograph of a large group of devotees walking along a road lit by a street lamp, with dark trees behind them. Most wear saffron-orange or white garments and yellow-orange shawls. A tall man in an orange robe stands centre-left with his hands clasped at his chest and looks upward, and a young man in orange with a shawl stands at left. Several women in orange saris and white clothing stand beside them, and a small boy in a red shirt and shorts stands in the middle foreground. The scene appears to show a group circumambulation of the sacred hill.
