Behind them, a crowd of devotees in saffron and red garments and rudraksha malas stands under a decorated canopy with a trident and festoons. A woman in the foreground with folded hands and an elderly man in white with an orange shawl watch. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure wears long swept-back hair, saffron robes, ceremonial gold-bordered cloth and a layered rudraksha mala, cues consistent with the page's attribution of Swamiji's presence.2013-12-26October 26 20162016-10-26March 05 20202020-03-05Photo 11697671 +1 copiesOutdoor ritual scene beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots. A long-haired man in a rust-red dhoti and bare chest, with a white tilak on his forehead, stands at centre with palms pressed together in anjali, wearing gold armlets and a gold necklace. Behind him, several men in saffron-orange dhotis, some with rudraksha malas, hold offering trays with flowers and fruit. On the left, women in white saris and a red-bordered sari stand with hands folded. A multicoloured fringed umbrella shades the scene. On the right, a large black deity murti with a golden ornate base is adorned with white garlands and a gold-and-red cloth, a black cobra-shaped stone sits on a red base, and flower petals are scattered on the ground. The setting suggests a puja offering.2016-08-02March 04 20202020-03-04December 26 20132013-12-26January 08 20122012-01-08
