June 24 20052005-06-24A photo of a joyful group singing and playing instruments indoors beside large windows with green trees outside. A long-haired figure in a flowing orange robe sits centrally, laughing with eyes half-closed and a small white card in hand. Behind and around them, a band of people in white t-shirts and white clothes plays a conga-style drum, guitar, tambourines and a harmonium labelled BINA in front. Several standing musicians raise their hands, and seated devotees in white clap and sit cross-legged on the floor. A wall clock and a metal frame stand in the room.2005-06-24June 25 20052005-06-25February 24 20072007-02-24June 25 20052005-06-252004-FIRST-HIMALAYAN-YATRADecember 31 20082008-12-31December 31 20082008-12-31July 28 20052005-07-28A photograph of a devotional gathering under a tent-like canopy at an ashram. A central figure with long dark swept-back hair wears a saffron-orange garment and stands smiling with raised hands, appearing to address a circle of devotees. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and saffron-orange shawls sit and stand, many smiling and clapping. A man in white at right holds a video camera on his shoulder. A yellow-brown tarp roofs the space and a white wall with a partial portrait stands behind.2006-11-20A photograph of a seated woman in an orange sari with a dark velvet cushion and gold-trimmed object beside her, seated on a white-draped couch in a bright room. A microphone stand stands in front of her, and a camera operator with a camera on a shoulder rig is visible at top right. Around her, many women sit on a striped rug in orange and white and yellow garments, some with hands in anjali, and a woman in a white sari with gold border stands at left. In the foreground at right, a man in white kurta with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala stands beside the couch, and two people with long dark hair in orange sit at lower left. The setting suggests a satsang or ceremonial gathering.2008-12-31A seated figure on an ornate golden throne with a red cushioned back, wearing a flowing saffron-orange robe and long dark hair, holds palms together in prayer. Before him a group of devotees sits on the floor: several women in yellow-and-white dress and yellow scarves, a man in white with a red shawl, and younger men in white with yellow scarves. A woman in a red sari in the foreground and a man in white are offering or receiving items from a brass tray, while a tray of fruit, flowers and packets sits beside the throne. The setting is an open-sided hall with bamboo matting and a red-painted wall. Possibly a puja or padapuja ritual; appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable) on the throne, with the cues of saffron robe and long hair.2009-12-03
