Construction work on a site paved with pale grey stone slabs. A woman in a yellow sari with a red border carries a green basin of grey gravel on her head, while a woman in a blue patterned skirt and striped top balances a sack on her head. A man in an olive t-shirt and cream trousers with a white head cloth stands holding a shovel, and another worker stands behind him. Heaps of pale grey aggregate lie in the foreground, a green cabin and a teal truck sit behind a red wall, and bamboo grows at right beside a blue signboard.

Outdoor construction site on bare orange-brown earth with stacks of grey granite slabs and cut stone blocks in the background. Four workers are shovelling fine pale grey sand: a woman in a striped top and blue patterned skirt bends with a shovel into a yellow basin, another woman in a blue floral skirt and head wrap pours from a yellow basin, a woman in a plaid top with a green basin balanced on her head stands at left, and a man in a white shirt and white head wrap crouches at right with a shovel.

A photograph of a construction site with workers moving sand and stone. In the foreground, a woman in a red sari bends over a yellow basin, and another woman in a blue-green head covering sifts sand near a yellow basin. A woman in a striped blouse and blue skirt stands by a basin, and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers holds a pickaxe while another woman in an orange sari stands nearby. Stacked grey granite slabs and blocks lie across the orange dirt ground, with a yellow tractor-loader at left and a multi-storey red-brick building behind. Several more workers and a woman carrying a basin on her head appear in the background.

A construction site on open, dry ground with piles of cut timber and stacks of stone blocks. Several women and men work on rough concrete foundations. In the foreground a woman in an orange and green floral sari and a red blouse carries a terracotta pot. Beside her a woman in a yellow sari holds a metal tray of grey mortar, and another woman in a purple sari and white head cloth walks past. A man in a blue top and red shorts stands at right, and a man in a white shirt bends near a green hose at centre. Distant trees and low buildings fill the background under a hazy sky.

A dusty construction site with reddish-brown earth mounds and piles of cut grey granite blocks. Several workers in lungis and head towels carry out site labour: one man in a striped shirt and green lungi walks with a shovel, another in a white shirt and turban carries a shovel, and a man in a beige shirt holds a small child in red on his shoulder. A woman in a red and white sari with a head covering stands at the left among stones and green shrubs. Coconut palms and a line of trees fill the background under a pale hazy sky.

A woman in a blue and yellow patterned sari with an orange blouse carries a large blue metal basin of grey material on her head, steadied with both hands and a pink-and-white plaid cloth. Behind her, workers in white shirts, dark shirts and shorts stand on a paved area of large grey stone slabs laid in a grid, holding long wooden poles or leaning on them. Bamboo and a red-roofed building are visible in the background, with bare brown ground beyond the stone paving.

Outdoor construction work on a paved site with palm trees and a scaffold behind. Several labourers work around a large heap of grey wet cement or concrete mix spread on the ground, with torn cement bags nearby. A man in a red knit cap and checked shirt on the left, a man in a striped sweater and white turban on the right, and others in lungis and light shirts shovel and spread the mix with tools. Tall lamp posts and a blue barrel sit in the background. No ritual, discourse or a person presence is visible.

A dusty open site at the ashram grounds with a stack of grey concrete blocks and a large mound of reddish-brown sand. Two workers stand on bare earth: one in a white cap and a blue-and-yellow shirt with a checked lungi, the other in a white shirt and grey-green lungi with a yellow head cloth, shovelling sand into a pile. Sacks lie in the foreground, with green and blue bins at left, young trees, a distant hillside and a far-off figure walking across the ground.
