In the centre, a person in an orange robe with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala stands barefoot, leaning forward and holding a small green leaf or offering over the fire. Beside them, a figure in a yellow wrap with long dark hair and folded hands stands at the edge of the flame. To the right, a man in an orange top and dark trousers and a bearded man in an orange cloth bare-chested stand with hands folded. A young man with long dark hair, bare-chested and wearing an orange cloth over his shoulder and waist, stands with palms pressed together in prayer, wearing a white and red flower garland and a rudraksha mala. Behind him, men in white dhotis and orange shawls stand attentively; one holds a silver lamp with a lit flame and another holds a silver vessel. Smoke drifts in the air, and marigold petals lie on the ground near a low pit at the bottom right. Several women in white saris with folded hands stand at the left. Roughly ten to fifteen people are visible.2006-12-26Photograph of a homa fire pit at an outdoor ritual ceremony, ringed with marigold and orange flower garlands and white and purple blossoms. Flames and smoke rise from ash inside the pit. Behind it, a person in a long orange robe with a pink flower garland and a crown-like headpiece pours from a metal vessel into a bowl held by a priest in white dhoti and orange shawl, who holds a flame lamp. A man in white dhoti and shirt with a yellow-and-white garland stands nearby, and a shirtless boy in a striped cloth and onlookers watch. Decorative white pillars and string lights frame the scene.2009-01-12Outdoor photo under a corrugated metal canopy supported by wooden poles, with trees behind. A man on the left with long dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha mala, holds a lit camphor flame in a metal vessel above a bell in his other hand, smiling. Behind him a woman in a white sari with a black shawl and a man in white hold a bowl near a raised platform decorated with yellow and pink flower garlands; the platform is layered with dark earth. Several devotees stand with folded hands: a man in white with an orange shawl, a woman in white with a mala, and a man in white with an orange shawl on the right.
