Top right: a man lies on a bed while another figure in green stands beside him. Bottom left: two robed figures in white and orange sit before a seated figure, with a devotee in white bowing. Bottom right: a figure in orange sits beside a small shrine holding a deity murti, with a second robed person in white facing it. The panels depict scenes from a story rather than physical people in the room.2021-07-04A group of female musicians performs on a green-carpeted stage under a hanging canopy of striped fabric and yellow-and-red lanterns. Before him stands a figure in orange-yellow garments with a bright halo or sun disc behind the head, raising one hand in greeting or reverence. The background is a pale blue-green sky with a horizon line and distant hills. The page excerpt on the lineage of Surya suggests this depicts the Sun God, but the figure is shown as an illustration rather than a photograph.August 31 20102010-08-31
