February 22 20112011-02-22 +1 copies2011 - Photo Album2011 - Photo AlbumA photograph in an ashram hall with pillars hung with orange and multicoloured tassels. A man with long dark hair, a red bindi and an orange saffron garment with a maroon border stands at centre, wearing rudraksha malas and a gold pendant, and holds a tray of offerings. He reaches out to touch the head of a man in a red-and-white striped shirt who bows with folded hands. Other devotees in white dhotis and white clothing stand nearby, including a grey-haired man in a red shirt and a shaved-headed man at left with folded hands. A tray of plates is held at lower right. The scene looks like darshan or blessing. Cues for the central figure are long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha malas, so this is a probable Swamiji in person.2011-02-11A photograph inside a hall with pale walls and colourful tasselled banners. A man in a saffron-orange robe with gold border, long swept-back dark hair and multiple beaded garlands stands at centre, placing a hand on the head of a devotee in a white shirt who bends forward with hands on his chest. Swamiji (probable): the central figure has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial gold-bead necklaces. Beside him stand other saffron-robed sannyasis, one bald with white ash markings on the arms and garlands. To the left a man in a black shirt presses palms together, and a man in a blue striped shirt with a lanyard looks on. A white table edge is visible at right.2011-02-22Indoor photo at an ashram-style hall with colourful striped pillars and a projector screen behind. A man in a saffron-orange robe with gold border and a long gold-bead necklace reaches out to bless a devotee, placing his hand on the devotee's head. The devotee in a blue striped shirt and lanyard holds his hands in anjali. Beside them, an older man in a grey striped shirt bows with hands folded. To the right, a bald priest in orange robe with beaded necklace and white ash markings on his arm carries a white tray with offerings. Several other people stand in the background, including a woman in orange. A man in a white shirt stands at far left.2011-02-22January 05 20132013-01-05 +3 copiesFebruary 25 20112011-02-25 +1 copiesA photograph inside a hall with pink walls and decorative colourful tassel hangings. In the centre, a smiling man with swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron garment with gold borders and a heavy gold-beaded garland; he appears to be the Swamiji (probable), given his saffron clothing, ornate gold necklaces and swept-back hair. Beside him, a shaved-headed attendant in matching orange robes and gold necklace holds a white tray with gold items and has white markings on his arm. To the left, a man in a black polo shirt with a lanyard presses his palms together, while a man in a white shirt bends forward in front of him. Several other people in white, grey and light blue shirts stand behind, and a projection screen is visible at upper right.2011-02-22A photograph of a saffron-clad figure in an orange turban and orange sleeveless garment, with a red tilak on the forehead and layered gold necklaces and gold bangles, placing a raised right palm on the head of a bowing man in a white shirt with a striped sleeve. Other men stand around, and blurred yellow and orange floral garlands decorate the background of what appears to be a temple or ritual hall. The distinctive turban, gold ornaments and saffron attire are present, but the page states a person is not at this event, so the identity is uncertain and the figure is described by role as a blessing giver.2011-12-17A long-haired man in an orange saffron garment with a maroon border stands at the centre, extending his right hand to touch the head of a devotee bowed in front of him. He wears a rudraksha mala, a gold pendant on a red cord, ornate gold necklaces and a gold armlet. Around him, several men in white shirts and dhotis stand with hands joined in anjali or bowed in devotion, and a man in white holds a silver tray near the right edge. Colourful striped and yellow-orange hangings decorate the hall, and a projection screen is visible at the top. Swamiji (probable) is shown in the centre, identified by long swept-back hair, saffron clothing, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold ornaments, giving blessings to the devotee.2011-02-112011 - Photo Album
